Would’ve given 4.75 stars if I could, but there wasn’t an option! Only a couple of minor issues: the sliding door seal leaked and dripped a little water on me during heavy rain. Luckily, it didn’t last long. Also, we noticed the bus kept popping out of gear while driving through towns. The driver wasn’t concerned, so neither were we! Otherwise, great experience. Highly recommend.

1. There was no clear boarding point; we had to contact RedBus to confirm. 2. The seats we selected were not given to us. When we asked, they refused and simply told us where to sit. 3. The bus stopped every 5 to 10 minutes for the first two hours to pick up and drop off people, supplies, food, etc. 4. There were two good stops for breaks along the way, but other stops were just for dropping things off and sitting on the bus for 15 minutes. 5. Our bags were placed at the bottom of the pile along with other luggage, heavy boxes, and food stacked on top. My husband’s bag was wet when we finally arrived in Siem Reap. 6. Passengers were dropped off at their chosen locations, boxes and mail were delivered, and then when we were the last on board (not at the final destination), we were simply asked if we wanted to get off. We just got out because we were fed up and took a tuk-tuk to our accommodation. 7. The trip took over 7.5 hours instead of the stated 5.5 hours. Do not be fooled into thinking this is the fastest bus from Kratie to Siem Reap. We would have preferred to take a later bus with a more professional service. The only positive note is that the driver was good, and we felt safe throughout the journey. The van was in reasonable condition. If we had expected a local bus and a long travel time, it would have been acceptable, but this was not made clear beforehand. We will not take this service again.

The bus ride was comfortable and well organized. The seats were pleasant, making the journey enjoyable. It was also convenient that there were charging points available for electronic devices. The bus was clean and well maintained. Additionally, the bus departed exactly on time, which I really appreciated. Overall, a positive experience!

What a ride! Go with a relaxed mind, and if you can accept that the bus will be making multiple stops to pick up and drop off people, chickens, sticky rice, etc., you’ll have a great time! We arrived about an hour late, but that’s all part of Cambodian life.

There was total confusion about where the bus would start and finish—this should be made clear in the email! The minibus had no markings, so we had to ask several minibuses before finding the correct one. In Siem Reap, the drop-off point didn’t match the link in the ticket email at all. Otherwise, the trip was good. The stop points for breaks were excellent, with plenty of food and drink options and very clean toilets. The van wasn’t in great condition, and seatbelt use was mostly not possible, as far as I could see. However, the driver and assistant were very helpful and attentive to all passengers.
